Wols – Photographien (Laszlo Glozer, Goethe-Institut, 1985)
A publication documenting the photographic work of Wols, the pseudonym of Alfred Otto Schulze, a German painter and photographer whose practice received little recognition during his lifetime. Today, he is regarded as an important precursor of lyrical abstraction.
The book is bound in a stiff card cover and shows subtle traces of age, mainly at the edges and in light surface marks on the front. The interior remains well preserved, with clean pages and black-and-white plates throughout. The stapled binding is intact.
The Tarelkin Collection is pleased to include three works by Wols in its collection.
